Cathay Pacific Business Class

There is a line from a recent movie ‘when I board the plane I will turn left’, today we turned left and into another world, one of comfort, service and extraordinary style. The cabin consists of many cubicles almost capsules with as much privacy as you do or don’t want. Everything is to hand and can be folded in or out at any time. Not quite enough room to live permanently but enough to make eight hours flying time much more pleasurable. My backside had not hit the seat, and I was offered drinks. Upon taking my seat in the first row of the section I discovered a world of entertainment at my fingertips, at the push of a button, I had movies, music, TV. games and more. I pushed several other buttons to find myself reclined into an almost flat sleeping position with a beautifully fluffy doona and equally soft pillows. However, let me take a step back, before I was able to snuggle into dreamland, we were served breakfast, starting with fruit, juice, yoghurt more fruit and muesli. This was followed closely by my choice of warm croissants, fruit bread, other sundry breads, pastries and muffins. Then the main arrived not just 1 a choice of 3, not for me thank you, I said I was stuffed after the yoghurt and bread. Once service was over curtains and blinds closed the cabin was calm and dark time to snuggle off to dreamland. It was a flying experience I thought I would never top until we left Hong Kong two days later and we were once again bumped to business class, to Heathrow. Thank you Cathay Pacific.
