Cooking Shows

There are so many cooking shows on TV these days, Master-chef, My Kitchen rules, Jamie’s this and that, the list goes on and that is only on free to air. As if that is not enough Fox has two food channels so we don’t miss out on the latest craze and cooking fad. We sit and watch hanging on every new ingredient how it should be cooked and of course eaten. Looking to impress our friends with fancy plating and cooking styles.
Someone said to me the other day ‘apparently you can sit and watch an exercise show and get a work out,' so maybe ‘watching the food shows is making us fat Australians.' I once knew a chap who used to say ‘when you get the urge to work lay down until it passes.' No exercise, cooking shows and not working what a recipe for the future of Australians. Throw in tracky dacs, ugg boots and checked flannel shirts for the whole cultural experience.
If you are not inspired to cook wholesome food by the countless cooking shows you can watch the advertisements informing you that for not too high a price you can do without the worry of cooking, shopping and menu planning by purchasing ready made meals which are delivered to your door. Not only are they fresh they will assist you to lose weight. So now you can sit in your armchair watch a strapping bloke use some fancy piece of gym equipment while you eat your delivered food and yes loose weight. After which, you can watch the cooking show and enjoy your dessert.
